Nursery songs as string repertoire 用儿歌作弦乐演奏曲 文字列のための歌と音楽を再生する

Philip Shieh, 2009

Nursery songs inherits simple and integrated rhythms, and are most suitable for development of fingering and bowing. Especially for figurations of repetitive notes, although are not suitable for beginning piano, are unarguably fit for learning percussion. Carl Orff employs these in teaching millions of children rhythm and ensemble, and gains a remarkable acheivement. According to the results of our experiments, These materials are also effective in teaching violin. Because down and up motions in bowing are like right and left hands in percussion practice. While both hands or bowing mastering repetition and alternation of rhythm, one may grasp pulse and expression of music. Arranging string music with nursery songs may especially enable the begginers acquiring right pitch and singing tone.
